Nine authors were invited to capture the Greek reality through their own perspective. The reality they consider invisible or blurred to the uninitiated. Nine photographers present their personal views on the image of the Greek experience with ecstatic, ironic, harsh, and sometimes romantic tones.
The initial idea of the book stemmed from the gap that always opens between the idea we have of ourselves and the way others see us. However, the perspective of Greek authors on the image they believe Greece projects to the outside world is also of particular interest.
The result shows, through the winding paths of writing and the lens, beyond the literary and artistic obsessions, how Greece disappoints those who would like to love it madly.
