The 4th Conference of Administrative Scientists aimed primarily to critically examine the issue of reforms in the Greek public administration.
The search for changes in the state and administration is ongoing, as is the implementation of such changes, which is often prolonged and unsuccessful.
Real reform of public administration usually appears to be a Sisyphian attempt and a project that is more often announced than realized with tangible and positive results.
No matter how innovative the reforms are, they are mostly implemented to replace – even partially – existing regulations on actual problems that require effective and long-term solutions.
