Description

Description

This volume gathers the texts from a series of lectures dedicated to Giorgos Seferis and his work, with the overarching title taken from his significant line: “Memory, wherever you touch it, hurts.”

The texts published here stem from the Seferian universe in relation to the history of our homeland and were presented alongside an exhibition of a series of 17 artistic interpretations of (the same number of) poems that make up the collection "Captain's Diary III" by Giorgos Kordis.

The co-publication of these texts in this volume reflects their causal genesis and coexistence in the same space, as well as their dynamic presence through time.
