When a saint visits you, everything calms down. Inside you and around you. This event cannot be explained. However, it happens. It is a miracle.

The visit of St. Paisios is a book-anthology of texts written by literary figures that relates to their experiences through their encounters with the Saint or from readings of his works.

Pentzikis, Kosmatopoulos, Vamvounakis, Skambardonis, Koukos, Orfanidis, Hieromonk Anastasios are just a few of the names that adorn this publication, which has one and only goal: the visit of the Saint to the heart of each one.

It is characteristic of the incident mentioned in the book from a text by Maro Vamvounaki: “In a simpler way, which of the two men in the two photographs I am looking at seems more peaceful, happy, complete with his life, thus a winner? The well-known shipowner, who smokes a cigar with a tense grimace and with the many tight wrinkles behind the dark sunglasses he wears even at night, or the Elder Paisios, who, bent over, tenderly extends his hand to a little sparrow? Whose lips’ corners show successful tranquility? What does that shocking say: I gain the world? I lose my soul?
