We invite you to enjoy the stories collected in this book. It will be a unique experience for two reasons.
The first: Rarely do so many multidimensional and acclaimed writers from around the world, among them five Nobel laureates, meet in the contents of the same anthology. The 21 short stories are written in various "voices" - distinct personal styles - revealing the wonderful potential of word usage by living authors.
The second reason: the 21 authors have contributed their stories without payment or claims for copyright. Additionally, the publishing houses in each country released the anthology without financial profit. All intellectual rights and revenues from the international sales of Telling Stories will be allocated to organizations for preventive education against AIDS, as well as for the medical care of individuals living with this disease and the suffering it has caused in our modern world.
The short stories you will read here do not address AIDS, but the proceeds from the book you hold will be used for the care and support of the victims in Africa.
