With our eyes focused on the new generations and a deep concern for our cultural future, with this publication we present sober and thoughtful reflections on tradition and modernization/renewal in 21st century Greece, far removed from the dilemmas and divisive controversies that trouble our political, intellectual, and cultural life.

In this cloudy age of postmodern confusion and contentious globalization, with discussions about the nation intensifying, we believe that only by properly reading our long historical journey can we carve out a correct cultural strategy in Europe and the modern world, without recycling, with naïve identity insecurities, the equally unhealthy Hellenocentric and anti-Hellenocentric attitudes of our recent national life.
